## In short

This is a static site. Nothing on it asks who you are: there is no account to open, no form to fill in,
no comment box and no wallet to connect. The server that answers a request writes the ordinary access
log every web server writes, and those lines are deleted after 30 days. Nothing recorded here is sold,
shared for marketing or matched against anything else.

## What the site does not collect

Every page here is a file on disk, sent as it stands. There is no account system, no login, no
newsletter form, no comment field and no wallet connection, so there is no name, address or balance
for this publication to hold. The site sets no cookies of its own and reads none. It runs no
analytics, no advertising and no tagging scripts, and it carries no advertising identifier of any
kind. Its two typefaces, its icon and its stylesheet are held on this domain and loaded from it,
so no third party learns that the brief was opened, or by whom.

## What the server writes down, and for how long

One record exists: the web server's access log, in the default format. A line records the
requesting address, a timestamp, what was asked for, the status returned, the byte count, the user
agent string, and a referring page where the browser supplies one. The log is read for two things — whether pages are
reaching readers and search and AI crawlers, and whether a run of missing-page answers points at a
link that needs fixing. Lines older than 30 days are removed when the log rotates, and nothing is
carried forward from them.

## What does not happen to that record

The log is not sold. It is not handed to anyone for marketing, not passed to an advertising network,
not used to build a picture of a reader, and not matched against any other list held here or
anywhere else. No reader is identified by name, because nothing on the site ever asks for one, and
no attempt is made to work out whose address appears in a line. The addresses of the sources cited
in these pages are written plainly, with no tracking parameters bolted on; follow one and you are on
that site, under its own policy and its own cookies.

## The hosting company's own records

The files are served by a hosting company rather than from a machine of ours, and that company
handles the same requests in order to deliver a page to you. It keeps its own operational and
security records, on its own terms, for a period it sets: neither the fields it holds nor the length
it holds them is decided by this publication, and nothing in this notice overrides them. A request
about those records has to reach the provider itself, and a message to the address below will name
the company and point at its terms.

## Writing to the editorial address

Correspondence is the one place where something of yours is handed over. A message sent to
editorial@insurancerefocused.com arrives with the address it was sent from, and message and address
are kept only as long as answering takes, then deleted. Neither joins a mailing list, because there
is no mailing list. To ask what is held about you, to have it corrected, or to have a whole exchange
of messages deleted, write to the same address and say which correspondence you mean.
